Join Our Food Services Team!
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Cook to join our Food Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team where your skills and commitment help create a positive dining experience for our students, staff, and guests.
This is a full time position of approximately 40 hours per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation
- Prepare basic components of menu items using established recipes and preparation procedures, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and butchering or portioning meat.
- Follow established recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
Safety and Cleanliness
- Ensure the kitchen, food preparation areas, and food storage areas are maintained to established cleaning and sanitation standards.
- Clean and maintain assigned workstations and ensure leftover food is properly stored, labeled, dated, and handled according to food safety procedures.
- Comply with all applicable nutrition, sanitation, food safety, and workplace health and safety regulations and standards.
- Promptly report kitchen accidents, hazards, equipment concerns, or violations of food safety procedures to the appropriate supervisor.
Teamwork, Collaboration and Client Service
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to complete portion preparation and prep work for other shifts as required.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items or supply needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach when interacting with coworkers, students, faculty, and staff.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and reliably while adhering to scheduled work hours and operational requirements.
- Be receptive to feedback, coaching, and training, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in an evolving kitchen environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills.
- Previous kitchen, food preparation, or food service experience is an asset.
- Ability to remain on your feet and perform physical duties for eight hours or more per day.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, reliability, and personal accountability.
- Comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as a team member.
- Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with colleagues, and students of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, proactive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable with bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, standing, walking, and moving quickly throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Willingness to assist with other duties and responsibilities as required.
