Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload packages efficiently using appropriate moving techniques and equipment
- Deliver goods to customers promptly, providing excellent customer service with a friendly attitude
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as heavy lifting, moving stock, and organizing deliveries when needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and inventory records throughout each shift
Skills
- Experience in moving heavy items safely and efficiently in a warehouse or delivery environment
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Forklift certification is a plus for handling certain types of cargo or warehouse tasks
- Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and moving throughout the shift
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics and inventory management
