Salon Rouge is seeking a motivated and sales-driven Customer Sales Representative to join our growing team. If you’re passionate about customer service, you know and enjoy Selling,love the beauty industry, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

As one of the first points of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in creating an exceptional experience from the moment a guest walks through our doors.

However, we want to be very clear about the nature of this position: this is not a typical office, administrative, or desk job.

We are a very busy, fast-paced hair salon. There isn't even a chair at our front desk. Everyone on our team is hands-on, on their feet throughout the day, and expected to contribute wherever help is needed.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, energetic, proactive, professional, and genuinely team-oriented.

Our salon already operates very efficiently without a dedicated receptionist, so we are not looking for someone simply to sit at the front desk and answer phones. We are looking for someone who will take responsibility, contribute to the entire salon, support the stylists, and add real value to both our team and our clients' experience.

The right person notices what needs to be done and takes the initiative to do it. Whether that means helping a client, answering the phone, cleaning and organizing an area, assisting a stylist, offering beverages, or helping with another task, we expect everyone to work together.

No task should be considered beneath anyone. We operate as a team.

Responsibilities

- Full availability is required, including evenings and Saturdays.
- Welcome clients with a warm, friendly, polished, and professional attitude.




- Answer incoming phone calls and respond promptly and professionally to emails and text messages.
- Schedule, confirm, modify, and manage appointments using our salon software.
- Maintain an accurate and organized appointment book.
- Process client payments and accurately handle point-of-sale transactions.
- Recommend and sell professional retail hair products.
- Offer beverages and help ensure every guest receives a luxury salon experience.
- Communicate and coordinate with stylists to keep appointments running smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist stylists and other team members whenever help is needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the salon—not just the reception area.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Keep the front desk and client areas organized and presentable throughout the day.
- Perform general administrative tasks when required.
- Take initiative and address tasks that need attention without constantly waiting to be asked.

There is very little traditional office administration involved in this position. The majority of the role is client service, appointment management, sales, salon support, organization, and teamwork.

Professional Presentation

Professional presentation is extremely important in the beauty industry.

We expect our team members to arrive at work polished, well-groomed, qualified, and fashion-forward. Every member of our team represents Salon Rouge and our brand when interacting with clients.

Qualifications

- Previous customer service or receptionist experience is preferred.
- Salon, spa, hospitality, beauty, or retail experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.




- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Professional, polished appearance and a positive, energetic attitude.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to quickly learn salon software.
- Retail sales experience is an asset.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Must be proactive and willing to take initiative.
- Must be comfortable being on your feet throughout the workday.
- Must be willing to help with cleaning, organization, and general salon duties.
- Must genuinely enjoy working as part of a team.
- Evening and Saturday availability is required.
