Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, organized, and energetic Director of DHS Programs to oversee our DHS-licensed programs, including Pre-Kindergarten and Before/After School CARES.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position that combines program leadership, administrative responsibilities and part-time classroom teaching. The ideal candidate is an experienced early childhood educator who enjoys working directly with children while also providing strong leadership and oversight to staff and programs.

Responsibilities The Director of DHS Programs will:

- Provide overall leadership and supervision of the school's DHS-licensed Pre-K and Before/After Care programs
- Ensure all programs remain in full compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations and licensing requirements
- Maintain required DHS documentation, staff files, student records, certifications, and program records
- Prepare for and manage DHS inspections and licensing requirements
- Oversee the daily operation of the Before and After School CARES Program
- Supervise, schedule, support, and evaluate DHS program staff
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training program employees
- Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and coordinate coverage as needed
- Communicate effectively and professionally with families
- Work collaboratively with school administration and faculty
- Support enrollment, retention, and a welcoming experience for Pre-K and CARES families
- Help maintain safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate environments for children
- Address parent, student,



and staff concerns in collaboration with school administration
- Teach part time in a Pre-K classroom as part of the regular 40-hour workweek
- Provide classroom support and coverage when necessary
- Promote the Catholic mission, values, and culture of Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School

Schedule This Is a Year-round, 40-hour-per-week Position.

The Schedule Will Be Structured Around The Needs Of The Pre-K And Before/After Care Programs And Will Include a Combination Of

- Administrative/director responsibilities
- Part-time classroom teaching
- Oversight of Before and After Care
- Summer program responsibilities

The position requires flexibility in scheduling to ensure appropriate leadership and coverage of DHS programs. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or Pre-K programming
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania DHS childcare regulations and licensing requirements
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or director experience preferred
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to lead and support a team while also working directly with children
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing, structured, and welcoming environment
- Appropriate educational credentials and experience necessary to meet DHS Director qualifications
- All required Pennsylvania clearances and mandated reporter training
- A willingness to support and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education
