YTR Transport is hiring a reliable, organized, and motivated Dispatch Coordinator/Office Administrator to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Duties

- Coordinate and dispatch drivers and transportation services efficiently.
- Schedule pickups, deliveries, and routes.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and team members throughout the day.
- Monitor driver schedules and provide updates as required.
- Track shipments and follow up on delays or operational issues.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails and customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and transportation documentation.
- Assist with invoicing, filing, data entry, and general office administration.
- Ensure transportation procedures and company policies are followed.
- Provide administrative support to the operations team.

Requirements





- Previous experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, or dispatch is required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with dispatch or transportation management software is an asset.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
