Overview

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our landscaping crew as a Sod Driver/Installer. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting sod to job sites and helping our team install it efficiently. No degree required—just a valid Class 5 driver’s license, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work hard.

The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in a job well done, and is comfortable behind the wheel as well as on the ground. Prior landscaping or delivery experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.

What you’ll do

- Load, secure, and transport sod rolls to residential and commercial job sites
- Roll out, cut, and install sod with the crew
- Lift and carry heavy sod rolls (30–50 lbs repeatedly)
- Prepare soil, rake, grade, and clean up job sites
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment (sod cutters, soil conditioners, etc.)
- Conduct basic vehicle and equipment checks to ensure secure operation
- Work outdoors as part of a small, efficient team—rain or shine

Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicle to deliver sod and materials to job sites
- Assist with sod installation, maintenance, and site preparation
- Safely operate tools and equipment
- Keep work sites clean, organized,



and hazard-free
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and tools

Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required)
- Clean driving record (preferred)
- Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, construction, or delivery is a plus but not required
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor labor in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Positive, reliable attitude—even when it’s hot, muddy, or traffic is heavy
