Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Helper to join our construction team. This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in construction-related tasks, including carpentry, painting, and general handyman work. The Helper will support skilled tradespeople in completing projects efficiently and safely, contributing to the successful execution of various building and renovation tasks.

Responsibilities

- Assist with construction painting, caulking, and other finishing tasks to ensure quality workmanship
- Support carpenters and other tradespeople in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to blueprints and project specifications
- Handle basic handyman duties such as patching, minor repairs, and general maintenance around job sites
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and assist accordingly
- Operate hand tools and equipment safely under supervision




- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris and storing tools properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all team members

Qualifications

- Prior experience or familiarity with construction, carpentry, or painting is a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is advantageous
- Handyman experience or skills related to general repairs are desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Solid work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills
- Reliable transportation is preferred for job site access
- Ability to work well within a team environment and follow instructions carefully

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
