Overview

We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall finishing and be proficient in applying tape and mud to seams and joints. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and professional finish to drywall installations, contributing to the overall quality of our projects.

Duties

- Apply tape to joints and seams of drywall using appropriate techniques for a seamless finish.
- Mix and apply joint compound to taped areas, ensuring even coverage and smooth surfaces.
- Sand finished areas to achieve a polished look, preparing walls for painting or further finishing.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and painters, to ensure project timelines are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Perform caulking as needed to seal gaps and enhance the overall finish of the project.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.





Experience

- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing is preferred.
- Skills in construction painting will be an asset, enhancing the quality of final finishes.
- Familiarity with carpentry techniques can be beneficial for understanding structural elements.
- Ability to read blueprints effectively is essential for executing tasks accurately.
- Experience as a maintenance person or in related fields can provide valuable skills applicable to this role.
