Duties
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites.
- Perform routine inspections of dump trucks before and after shifts to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators to deliver materials precisely where needed.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work setting for yourself and team members.
- Maintain accurate logs of materials transported and operational hours for record-keeping purposes.
Requirements
- Experience operating MANUAL TRANSMISSON tri-axle dump trucks.
- Solid understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation.
- Clean commercial driving record, no major tickets or at fault accidents
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors.
- Construction experience with an emphasis on material handling and site logistics.
- Valid Ontario DZ or AZ licence — specify whichever you require.
- Clean/acceptable driver’s abstract and CVOR record.
