Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic On-Call Early Childhood Educator to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will provide flexible, high-quality care and educational support to young children in various settings, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes growth, learning, and development. Duties

- Provide immediate classroom coverage to support full-time educators during absences or peak times
- Implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning setting aligned with early childhood education best practices
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure clarity and positive relationships
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or assistance with disabilities
- Maintain organized classroom environments by managing supplies and educational materials efficiently




- Document observations and progress notes to inform ongoing developmental assessments and planning

Qualifications

- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education strategies
- Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable to support diverse communities
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a strong asset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, families, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively in a flexible schedule
- Proficiency in computer operation and familiarity with classroom management software or tools
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom dynamics
- Valid certifications in childcare or early childhood education preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged
