Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Wage: $28.00–$30.00 per hour

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming for young children and support curriculum development within a collaborative early learning environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional and social development
- Develop and maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Observe and document children’s development and progress
- Guide and support children in daily routines and learning experiences
- Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s progress and development
- Collaborate with colleagues in planning and implementing curriculum
- Contribute to curriculum development and reflective practice within the program
- Integrate child-centred and inquiry-based approaches into daily programming
- Ensure compliance with Alberta childcare licensing regulations
- Maintain health, safety and sanitation standards





Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Early Childhood Education program
- Valid Alberta Early Childhood Educator certification Level 3
- Experience working in a licensed childcare setting
- Strong understanding of child development principles
- Knowledge of child-centred and inquiry-based curriculum approaches
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
