Job Summary

World of Wonder is a licensed, Reggio-philosophy facility in Coquitlam operating under contract to SD43.

Our children are aged 2 to five years and come from LINC Families whose parents are enrolled in government-funded courses at SD43. Our role is to support them to adjust to life in Canada, learn English and prepare for their educational journey while respecting and nurturing their cultural heritage

This is a part-time opportunity (Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 12), 3.5-4.5 hours per day

Fluent in English required, and bilingual as an asset -Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, Farsi

Applicants should be in good health with a doctor's note and need following documents will be submitted upon request.

- Current ECE Certificate
- Character reference
- Current First Aid and CPR Level B
- Proof of a TB Test result
- Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Support children’s individual needs by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.
- Foster a positive classroom setting that encourages curiosity, independence,



and respect among children.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and behavioral observations.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to create a secure learning environment.
- Utilize computer skills to document lessons, update records, and communicate with families through digital platforms.

Skills

- Proficiency in English; a plus for bilingual communication.
- Strong background in early childhood education
- 1 year experience working with children in childcare setting
- Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—to engage effectively with children and families.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
