In this role with School District 84, you will interpret in and out of classrooms, assist in meetings, and engage in extracurricular activities.
Collaboration with teachers to reinforce educational goals and adapting communication methods are key components of your work, focusing on fostering each student's potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpreting services in various school settings
- Collaborate to adapt educational materials for students
- Facilitate student participation in extracurricular activities
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Assist in the implementation of support strategies Requirements:
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent education
- Two-year Sign Language Interpreting diploma
- Active membership in interpreting qualified associations
- Proficient in American Sign Language
