Full-Time, In-Person | Start Date: Upon Hire | Posting Open Until Filled

Position Overview

Teach elementary students in a modern K–12 school that blends Ontario curriculum with Anishininiimowin language, land-based learning and community traditions. Average class size is 20-30 students with an Educational Assistant assigned to every room.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver the Ontario curriculum, integrating Indigenous perspectives and local knowledge
- Differentiate instruction using UDL and other inclusive strategies
- Use diagnostic, formative and summative assessment tools; develop IEPs where required
- Incorporate educational technology (SmartBoards, tablets, laptops) and outdoor learning
- Maintain a positive, culturally responsive classroom; participate in school-wide and community events

Qualifications

- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) member in good standing without conditions.
- Experience teaching Grades 2–8; multi-grade or remote/First Nations experience an asset
- Knowledge of Indigenous pedagogy or willingness to learn; strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Salary & Perks

- $56,000 – $119,977, based on QECO category and experience
