We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our agile construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and assisting with general labour tasks to ensure smooth project progress. Your expertise in equipment operation and construction experience will contribute significantly to the successful completion of our projects.

Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, graders, and skid steers with precision and safety awareness
- Towing equipment to and from work sites
- Assist with site preparation, grading, trenching and material handling to support construction activities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation and manual labour tasks
- Support team members with manual labour including site cleanup, material delivery, and setting up work zones
- Collaborate with supervisors to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines effectively
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and work completed
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, and skid steers
- Solid mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Ability to operate loaders, backhoes, graders, excavators, and skid steers confidently
- Valid driver’s license for transporting equipment when required
- Construction experience with a focus on ground disturbance
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency
