Facilities Worker: Skilled (Minimum 2years experience in similar position preferred.)

· General cleaning of facility including interior windows, walls, flooring as well as the exterior of building, graffiti and parking lot.

· Cleaning and janitorial of theatre, banquet hall, washrooms, kitchen, meeting rooms, and common areas before, during, and after events.

· Setup and tear down of events/functions including tables, chairs, partitions, displays, etc.

· Monitor and replenish consumables such as, bathroom supplies, coffee, tea, cleaning supplies, etc.

· Perform routine building maintenance tasks including light bulb replacement, wall and trim patching, painting, identifying mechanical/electrical/plumbing issues and repair where able, complete scheduled replacement/inspection tasks.

· Identify/communicate areas in need of improvement.

· Follow all work safe requirements and SOPs.

· Able to communicate using portable radios.

· Able to lift, twist with, and carry up to and including 50lbs.

· During quiet periods,



demonstrate the ability and willingness to take initiative to find tasks that could be done or checked off to do lists.

· Ability to maintain a professional appearance in the workplace.

· Ability to adjust on the fly to accommodate clients needs.

· Able to handle and work in an ever changing, high pace, demanding setting.

· Able to navigate conflict, last minute demands, and requests with grace and professionalism.

· Able to maintain a positive attitude and demeanour under pressure.

· Liaise with clients before and during events (coffee service, adjustments to set up, tidy up spills, etc.).

· Teachable and willing to watch, listen and learn.

· Work effectively as part of a larger team, within the Facilities Team and with all staff and volunteers.

· Follow direction from Managers and Persons in Charge during events.

· Work varied shifts: mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
