Position Summary The Sanitation Team Member is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the vertical hydroponic farming facility. This role ensures that all growing systems, equipment, and work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized to support plant health, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize growing trays, racks, work surfaces, and harvest equipment/areas, PPE rooms, etc.

- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors; ensure drains remain clean and functional

- Remove plant debris, roots, and waste; sort and dispose of waste following proper segregation procedures

- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, tools, carts, and equipment; sanitize before moving between rooms to prevent cross-contamination

- Assist with disassembly and deep cleaning of system components; complete scheduled weekly and monthly deep cleaning

- Use approved cleaning chemicals following proper dilution, handling, labeling, and storage procedures

- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times

- Adhere to zone-based sanitation protocols,



including use of sanitation stations, foot baths, and handwashing procedures

- Maintain accurate sanitation logs, recording activities, chemicals used, and observations; report issues and ensure compliance with company and food safety standards

- Support other departments, restock cleaning supplies and PPE, and perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

- Work in a wet, humid, and temperature-controlled environment

- Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks required

- Wet floors and slippery surfaces can be present

Requirements & Qualifications

- Previous cleaning or sanitation experience is an asset

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures

- Robust attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physically capable of performing manual tasks

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Pay: $18.50 per hour
