At Sturtz Machinery Canada Inc., we design and build world-class automated machinery for the vinyl window manufacturing industry. We are looking for experienced Field Service Technicians to perform the site assembly and commissioning of new machine installations, and field troubleshooting and repair of existing equipment. The position requires a strong customer focus, can-do attitude, and both mechanical and electrical machine experience.

Responsibilities:

- On-site installation and commissioning of new machines in Canada
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair existing machinery at customer location.
- Provide start up assistance in new machinery installations at customer factory locations including uncrating, alignment, and assembly.
- Provide operator and maintenance personnel training at customer locations.
- Provide direction for spare parts recommendations with customers.
- Make recommendations for design improvements with Stürtz engineering.
- Accurately complete Service Reports summarizing field work completed
- Provide customer support via phone and PC remote diagnostics

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years’ experience building, installing, and repairing industrial machinery.




- 2-3 year technical degree or technical/skill trades training desired.
- Desirable to have experience in STX, Visual Studio and C++ programming
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic skills, and CNC Experience.
- Knowledge of PLC’s, control systems and wiring schematics.
- Robust communication skills, verbal and written. Positive attitude. Detail oriented. Driven to succeed. Dependable and reliable.
- Ability to travel 60—70% to customer sites within Canada. Traveling to USA and Europe may be necessary from time to time.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Clean Drivers abstract and valid Passport, and Fluent in French is an asset.
