Position: Field Trainer

Location: Toronto-based (Regular travel to restaurants across the network required, including across the GTA and outside Ontario)

Train the people who make our restaurants run.

Wingstop Canada is growing rapid, and every new restaurant needs well-trained team members and shift leaders ready to run a great shift. The Field Trainer is the person who gets them there — leading the classroom, running the training shifts, and certifying that each person is ready before they step into the role.

This is a hands-on training role for a strong operator who loves developing people. You will teach team members and shift leaders both in the classroom and on the floor, and you will hold the standard on who is ready to be certified. It is also a role built for growth: the Field Trainer is a development path toward restaurant leadership, with the opportunity to build toward a General Manager role over time while training courses in restaurant management run alongside the job.

What You’ll Own

- Training Shifts. Run training shifts in the restaurants, evaluating on-the-job performance and certifying that a person is ready before they are staffed in a team member or shift leader role.
- Classroom Training. Lead classroom training for team members and shift leaders, delivering the curriculum clearly and consistently so every participant learns the Wingstop Canada standard the same way.
- Certification of Trainers. Assess whether team members are ready to become certified team member trainers, and whether shift leaders are ready to become certified shift leader trainers — extending strong training into the restaurants.
- Holding the Standard. Own the bar for readiness. Certify only those who meet it, give clear feedback to those who do not yet, and keep training consistent from restaurant to restaurant.

What We’re Looking For A top-performing restaurant leader who is ready to develop others full-time. Specifically:




- Expert-level restaurant experience at the senior shift leader level or above, ideally at the Assistant General Manager level, with full command of how a great shift runs front-of-house and back-of-house.
- A natural trainer and coach — someone who enjoys developing people and can teach both in a classroom and on the floor.
- A high standard and the confidence to hold it, certifying only those who are truly ready and giving honest, useful feedback to those who are not yet.
- Strong communication and presence in front of a group, with the ability to keep training clear, consistent, and engaging.
- Ambition to grow into restaurant leadership, with the drive to take on management training and build toward a General Manager role over time.
