- Collaborate in the management, monitoring and optimization of cost of goods sold and manufacturing costs
- Develop, track and analyze financial and operational performance indicators
- Work with production teams to analyze operational flows and make recommendations for improvement
- Prepare strategic financial analyses to support management decision-making
- Serve as the financial resource person for the Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation project
- Participate in the review, validation and optimization of the chart of accounts and ledgers
- Ensure the integrity of financial data, the implementation of internal controls and the standardization of processes
- Support the full accounting cycle and participate in monthly and annual closings
- Monitor administrative and financial practices to ensure their efficiency
- Report directly to the Vice President, Finance as part of a small, dynamic and stable team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP or equivalent)
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Proven expertise in cost accounting and management accounting
- Comfortable engaging with shop-floor realities and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Sharp analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly identify and communicate issues
- Ability to simplify financial information and tailor communication to different audiences
- CPA designation is an asset
