The Strathcona Regional District is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced payroll professional to join our Finance team as a Financial Services Technician II – Payroll & Human Resources.

This is an onsite, exempt position responsible for the full-cycle processing of payroll and benefits for multiple operations, employee groups, classifications, and employment arrangements. The position requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and independent judgement in the administration of payroll and benefits while also working collaboratively with Finance, Human Resources, employees, and external partners.

Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this position is responsible for the complete and timely processing of multiple payroll batches, payroll remittances, advantages, reporting, and related HR support.



The position also provides cross-functional support within the Finance team and will be trained to backfill core accounting functions.
