The First Cook/Relief Chef will rotate between dinner and breakfast service and is responsible for the preparation of awesome dishes for our guests. Besides the duties of meal prep, cooking, you will be mentoring the Team to serve the best to our clients and bringing forth their creativity as well. You will ensure that safe food handling practices are in place at all stages of food handling.

You are in charge of ensuring that the kitchen, storage areas and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained at all times. This role is also part of the menu building team and creating new items to keep our client happy during their stay. To be successful in this role, you need experience with hot and cold food handling, and preparation, checking ingredients for freshness, and arranging and garnishing the dishes.

As well as serving on the line and having face to face contact with our client. This role includes overnight shifts as well as weekends, holidays and split shifts. This role requires that you communicate clearly with Staff, Management, Clients and Owners so you must be comfortable communicating in English; Speaking, reading, writing and understanding As the successful candidate, you must be able to work well independently with little supervision.





You must also be capable and willing to supervise and mentor others. You must be able to handle high volume production on short notice. You must be physically fit and able to push, pull, lift up to 50+ lbs and to stand, bend and kneel with comfort.

- Culinary school education is preferred,
- Prior experience in a related position is an advantage.
- Must be drug and alcohol free
- Must have proven team skills.
- Food Secure Certification.
- Experience with rational ovens an asset
- Rotation is 20/10
