Flooring Estimator/Sales/Project Manager

WHAT'S THE ROLE - Continued growth in our existing locations and our new location in Kingston,ON has created the need for us to add to our team of Floorcovering professionals in our residential flooring department. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with the drive to succeed and look to hire for both Kingston and our existing locations. Strong organizational, computer and communication skills required. Position is a combination of project management, estimating, and sales.

Experience in these aspects of flooring is required . This is an excellent prospect for an experienced flooring estimator.

Salary:Salary and Profit Sharing bonuses. - six figure total income

Requirements:

minimum 3 years experience in flooring sales estimating and project management

- Completion of high school
- Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training




- Valid driver’s license
- WHIMIS
- Bondable, basic security clearance & criminal record check
- Duties:
- Prepare estimates of labour and material costs
- Prepare bill of material
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
- Select sub-trade
- Utilize quantity take-off procedures. Work with RFMS Measure software
- Advise on tendering procedures
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
- Read specifications
- Qualities & Skills:
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to learn industry specific computer programs
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Work with minimal supervision and with others
- Manage schedule with tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to distinguish between colours
