Braeside Construction & Flooring is seeking an experienced Commercial & Residential Flooring Installer to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, skilled professional who takes pride in their workmanship and is comfortable working independently in commercial, restoration, and property management environments.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands that professional flooring installation is about more than simply getting material on the floor. Preparation, accuracy, clean finishing, reliability, and attention to detail matter.

The right candidate will be someone who can be trusted to arrive on site, assess the work, communicate any concerns, and complete the installation properly without requiring constant supervision.

Experience working with restoration companies, property management companies, commercial contractors, or occupied commercial properties is considered a strong asset.

Duties

- Install a variety of commercial flooring products, including LVP/LVT, sheet vinyl, carpet tile, broadloom, laminate, and other resilient flooring
- Perform flooring removal, demolition, and site preparation
- Complete subfloor preparation, including patching, leveling, grinding, and minor repairs
- Measure, cut, fit, and install flooring accurately according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Install base, transitions, trims, and finishing details
- Read floor plans, drawings, layouts, and work orders
- Identify site or substrate issues that may affect installation and communicate them promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work professionally around customers,



property managers, restoration contractors, tenants, and other trades
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of professional flooring installation experience preferred
- Own basic flooring installation tools preferred
- Commercial flooring experience is required
- Robust experience with resilient flooring and commercial installations
- Solid knowledge of floor preparation and proper installation techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, kneeling, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable travelling to different job sites
