Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the F&B; Supervisor, this position is responsible for seating guests in a friendly and professional manner and providing food and beverage service while maintaining and recording daily sales on the P.O.S system. This position may be performed in a restaurant, on a casino floor, in a bar, at a special event, or other areas. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Outstanding Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

- Provides exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers in an upbeat, positive and professional manner;
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available at the restaurants;
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter. Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy;
- Help to maintain clean service areas.
- Be knowledgeable with the current food and beverage programs, incentives and customer concerns by regularly liaising with the F&B; Manager and Supervisor;
- Answer general questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services in the premise.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the F&B; Manager and Supervisor.
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests,ownership and employees)
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations




- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Qualification Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;
- Previous customer service experience required
- Server or Beverage Host experience required
- Previous cash handling and P.O.S system experience an asset;
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills;
- Ability to professionally handle situations that may arise due to intoxicated guests
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
- Bilingualism in English and French as asset
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be 19 years of age or older

Work Environment Considerations

- Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables;
- This role requires extended period of standing, walking, bending and may lift up to 35 lbs.
- The role requires a versatile schedule that adapts to business needs, will have non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.
