Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and responsible Front of House (FOH) Team Member to join our takeout sushi restaurant. This role involves assisting customers, taking and processing orders, handling payments, packing and checking orders, and keeping the front-of-house area clean and organized.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork is an important part of this role, so we’re looking for someone who communicates well, supports their teammates, and is willing to help wherever needed. A positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and willingness to take initiative are also important. Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an asset, but training will be provided.

Duties

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take and process walk-in, phone, and online orders accurately
- Handle payments and POS transactions
- Pack, organize, and double-check orders for accuracy and presentation
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure orders are prepared and handed out smoothly
- Answer customer questions and provide menu recommendations
- Keep the front counter,



packing station, and customer areas clean and organized
- Perform daily opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing the front-of-house area.
- Work closely with team members and support each other during busy periods
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and guest satisfaction
- Handle customer concerns professionally and communicate issues to the appropriate team member

Experience

- Previous experience in customer service, food service, restaurant, or retail is preferred
- Cashier or POS experience is an asset
- Experience working in a fast-paced workplace is an asset
- Training will be provide
