Duties
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products, and assist with selections to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by properly handling food products and ensuring the stand is tidy at all times
- Upsell fresh produce and related items to maximize sales opportunities while providing helpful recommendations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without sacrificing quality or safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments,
preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for quick transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple customers efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction calculations
- Ability to maintain sanitation standards and handle food products safely
- Experience in upselling products to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
- Kitchen or food industry experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling procedures
