Role Description The Full-Time Manager role at Boathouse/Blackwell Supply Company in Abbotsford, BC is an in office position responsible for leading daily store operations and supporting overall business performance. This role oversees staff scheduling, coaching, and performance, ensuring team members deliver welcoming, knowledgeable service and maintain visual merchandising standards. The Manager monitors sales targets, key performance indicators, inventory levels, and loss prevention practices, and supports execution of promotions and brand initiatives.

Day-to-day tasks include opening and closing procedures, cash handling, resolving customer issues, and maintaining a clean,



organized, and safe store environment. The Manager collaborates with senior store leadership to drive a positive workplace culture, support training, and contribute to continuous improvement in store processes.

Qualifications

- Retail leadership skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management experience.
- Customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, handle concerns professionally, and achieve sales goals.
- Operational skills in cash handling, opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and loss prevention.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills for managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and addressing day-to-day store challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with store and head office teams.
- Experience in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle retail environments is an asset, along with knowledge of key brands carried by the company.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Abbotsford, BC, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in retail and a high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business or a related field is an advantage.
