Möbler Furniture is looking for an experienced sales professional to take responsibility for sales and day-to-day operations at our new 5,000+ sq. ft. Vancouver showroom.
We are a family-owned furniture company that has been part of the Vancouver furniture market since 1984. We offer contemporary furniture with a strong focus on quality leather upholstery, comfort, reclining furniture and modern design.
This is a hands-on sales position. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys selling, is confident working with customers, and has the experience and maturity to take ownership of the showroom’s day-to-day operation.
The successful candidate will spend most of their time working directly with customers and selling furniture, while also ensuring the showroom runs smoothly and customers receive excellent service.

What You’ll Do Sales & Customer Service
- Welcome and assist showroom customers
- Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable products
- Explain product features, materials, options and benefits
- Demonstrate reclining furniture, sofa beds, extension tables and other products
- Build relationships with customers and follow up when appropriate
- Confidently guide customers through the purchasing decision
- Work toward closing sales while providing a positive, professional customer experience
- Prepare customer orders and process payments
- Check inventory, pricing and product availability
- Answer customer questions by phone and email
Showroom Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the Vancouver showroom
- Open and close the showroom as scheduled
- Ensure customers are greeted and properly assisted
- Maintain a professional, organized and welcoming showroom
- Ensure pricing and product information are accurate and properly displayed
- Learn and use our Shopify POS system
- Handle routine customer questions and issues
- Communicate with ownership regarding sales, customers and showroom needs
- Help train and support additional showroom staff as required
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of proven retail sales experience
- Furniture sales experience strongly preferred
- Previous supervisory or showroom management experience is an asset
- Experience selling mattresses, appliances, home furnishings, flooring or other higher-value products will also be considered
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and close sales
- Confident approaching and engaging customers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Reliable, organized and professional
- Comfortable taking responsibility and making routine day-to-day decisions
- Comfortable using computers and POS systems
- Able and willing to learn detailed product information
- Able to work as part of a small team
- Available to work weekends as part of the regular schedule
We’re particularly interested in someone with real sales experience who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in making the sale, and is capable of taking ownership of a showroom. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced furniture or retail salesperson who is ready for more responsibility, or an experienced showroom manager who still enjoys being actively involved in sales.
