Become a pivotal force at Mount Royal University as a Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response Advisor. This hybrid role combines education, advocacy, and support for survivors within a diverse campus community. As part of the Dating, Domestic and Sexualized Violence Office, you will educate and raise awareness about gender-based violence.
This position offers a unique prospect for those with 3-5 years in prevention and response work. Your expertise will help develop and implement comprehensive programs to foster safety and respect on campus. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate educational programs on prevention
- Conduct training sessions for students, staff, and faculty
- Create educational resources to support prevention efforts
- Plan awareness campaigns and coordinate campus initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders for effective educational approaches Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or gender studies
- 3-5 years of gender-based violence program experience
- In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed care and advocacy
- Excellent communication skills and organizational abilities
- Strong understanding of relevant laws and reporting mechanisms Support the vital mission of preventing gender-based violence at Mount Royal University through awareness and educational initiatives.
