Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate GIA Certified Jewelry Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in jewelry design and certification standards to create stunning, innovative jewelry pieces that meet the highest quality and aesthetic standards. Your creative vision, combined with technical proficiency in digital design and visual arts, will help bring unique jewelry concepts to life.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated designer to contribute to a brand renowned for craftsmanship and style, while working in a collaborative and inspiring environment. Most importantly, you will be working with our clients online to create their vision of jewelry.

Duties

- Develop original jewelry designs using digital design tools, ensuring alignment with current trends and client specifications
- Utilize software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite to create detailed sketches, renderings, and presentation materials
- Incorporate motion graphics, 3D animation, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects, Maya, SketchUp, and other industry-standard programs to visualize designs dynamically
- Apply knowledge of typography, color theory, and visual arts painting techniques to enhance design presentations
- Collaborate closely with gemologists and clients to translate GIA certification standards into innovative jewelry concepts
- Create detailed CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models for manufacturing prototypes or production runs




- Assist in developing fashion-inspired jewelry collections by integrating fashion design principles and construction painting techniques
- Maintain organized digital files of all design iterations, specifications, and project documentation

Experience

- Proven experience in digital design, graphic design, or visual arts with a strong portfolio showcasing jewelry or fashion-related projects
- Certification from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as a Jewelry Designer or related field is required
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe After Effects, Maya, SketchUp, and CAD software is essential
- Knowledge of typography, visual design principles, 2D/3D animation, HTML/CSS for web presentation is highly desirable
- Experience with fashion design concepts and construction painting techniques will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with technical aspects of jewelry manufacturing processes including 3D printing or traditional craftsmanship methods
- Strong understanding of visual arts painting techniques and sketching skills to communicate ideas effectively
