Overview

We are seeking a owner operator skilled mechanic, wanting to join our growing mobile mechanics business, providing essential maintenance and repair services for a variety of marine and transport equipment in the Prince Rupert area. The ideal candidate will come with his own equipped service truck, and will possess solid mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills, with experience working on heavy machinery, and marine vessels.

Duties

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and marine vessels.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools
- Conduct assembly and disassembly of machinery for repairs or upgrades




- Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist in the installation of current equipment and upgrades as needed
- Mechanical duties include in-shop as well as field applications

Skills

- Experience with marine and transport maintenance.
- Capable of heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment safely
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members

This position requires a dedicated professional with a passion for maintaining marine and transport equipment. Candidates should be detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$55.00 per hour
