Description

Your responsibilities will include:

- Generating, writing, researching and editing stories;
- Working closely and collaboratively with the editor-in-chief and rest of the Page One team;
- Staying up to date on the people, stories and trends in the local design-build community;
- Building relationships with builders and designers;
- Tracking and maintaining a database of recent homes and related projects;
- Assisting with online content as needed;
- Attending and representing Spruce magazine at local events.

Qualifications

- Minimum three years’ experience in magazine publishing or other related media;
- Post-secondary education in journalism or a related field;
- Experience editing and writing home and design content;
- Experience with Google Docs and similar technology;
- Public-speaking skills are an asset.
- In addition, the ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, professional and able to work to a deadline, and will reside on
- Southern Vancouver Island.
