Flashback Breakfast & Lunch is a busy, retro-style breakfast & lunch restaurant in Angus Ontario. We are a fast-paced and growing establishment looking for a full time/Part time Host/Hostess to join our team.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Manage waitlists and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette
- Take and relay guest orders accurately, coordinating with the serving staff
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station
- Operate POS systems for reservations and seating management
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Address guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Skills
- Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of POS system
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette for reservation calls and inquiries
- Previous restaurant or breakfast restaurant experience is advantageous
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
