Duties
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation units to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems, and appliances to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately install or repair complex mechanical systems.
- Conduct brazing and plumbing tasks as needed for system repairs or upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues involving furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and HRV / ERV.
- Assist in construction projects by installing new HVAC units or mechanical components according to specifications.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in HVAC systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of furnaces, heat pumps, and related mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for installation projects.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance procedures on HVAC units and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC technology. G2 / 313D
