SoilEx Hydroseed & Earthworks Ltd. is seeking a reliable, hardworking Hydroseeding Technician to join our field operations team for the upcoming season.

SoilEx is a specialized Saskatchewan contractor providing professional hydroseeding, erosion control, land reclamation and earthworks services. Our work takes us across Saskatchewan and Western Canada, supporting residential, commercial, municipal, agricultural and large-scale industrial projects.

This is a hands-on field position for someone who takes pride in quality work, respects equipment and wants to be part of a growing company with high operating standards. Previous hydroseeding experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude and a positive attitude.

What You’ll Do

As a Hydroseeding Technician, you will assist with the preparation, mixing and application of seed, fertilizer, mulch, tackifier, soil amendments and engineered erosion-control products. Your responsibilities will include:

- Operating and assisting with hydroseeding equipment, pumps, hoses and support vehicles
- Loading and accurately mixing materials according to project specifications
- Handling and laying out large-diameter application hose
- Supporting hydraulic seeding and erosion-control applications
- Monitoring application quality and maintaining consistent site coverage
- Completing equipment inspections, cleaning and routine preventative maintenance
- Troubleshooting minor equipment, pump and hose issues
- Safely loading, securing and transporting materials and equipment
- Assisting with site preparation, cleanup and general earthworks activities
- Completing daily field documentation, equipment inspections and safety paperwork




- Following SoilEx safety procedures and all client-specific site requirements
- Working respectfully around clients, contractors, inspectors and other trades
- Travelling to project locations and staying out of town when required

What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious and comfortable working outdoors in demanding field conditions.

Applicants should have

- A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean or acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation to the SoilEx shop or designated meeting location
- Strong work ethic, punctuality and dependable attendance
- The ability to perform physically demanding work and repeatedly handle heavy hoses and materials
- The ability to work outdoors in heat, dust, wind, rain and changing weather
- Mechanical aptitude and respect for trucks, machinery and specialized equipment
- The ability to follow instructions, specifications and safe-work procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew
- Availability for long days, overtime, weekends and out-of-town work when projects require it
- A professional attitude and pride in producing high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications The following experience or certifications are considered assets:
- Previous hydroseeding, landscaping, reclamation or erosion-control experience
- Experience operating pumps, small engines or agricultural equipment
- Construction, oil and gas, environmental or civil project experience
- Experience towing and backing trailers
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence
- Ground Disturbance, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, CSTS or SCOT training




- Equipment operation or preventative-maintenance experience
