Five Star Bath Solutions of Ottawa is looking for an experienced In-Home Sales Consultant to meet with homeowners who have already expressed interest in renovating their bathrooms.

This is not a cold-calling or door-to-door prospecting position.

Our marketing and customer service team generates the leads, qualifies the homeowner and schedules the appointment. Your job is to meet the customer in their home, understand what they want, design the solution, present pricing and financing options, and close the sale.

We are looking for someone who already understands consultative, high-ticket sales and wants an opportunity where they can spend their time selling rather than prospecting.

- Tub-to-shower conversions
- Walk-in showers
- Bathtub replacements
- Wall systems and surrounds
- Complete bathroom remodeling
- Accessibility-focused bathroom solutions

Our typical projects are significant home-improvement purchases, so customers expect a professional consultation rather than a quick transactional sales pitch.

You focus on the consultation and the sale. Our team supports the customer before and after the appointment.

Compensation

This is a commission-only sales position.

Commission is based on sales performance and can reach up to 15%, depending on the applicable commission structure and performance criteria.

For qualified new representatives, we may provide a C$500/week recoverable draw during the initial ramp-up period, subject to the terms of our sales compensation program.

There is no fixed salary or guaranteed annual income.

- Average project value
- Close rate
- Sales volume
- Commission tier achieved





This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable with performance-based compensation and has previously succeeded in a commission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

- Attend scheduled appointments at customers' homes throughout the Ottawa area
- Build rapport and understand the homeowner's goals, concerns and budget
- Evaluate the existing bathroom and recommend appropriate solutions
- Guide customers through product, design and configuration options
- Present pricing and available financing options
- Professionally handle objections and concerns
- Ask for the sale and close qualified opportunities
- Accurately complete contracts and required sales documentation
- Maintain timely communication with the office regarding appointments and sold projects
- Follow the company's established sales process
- Participate in ongoing coaching, training and sales meetings

Bathroom remodeling experience is helpful, but not required. We can teach the product.

We are looking for someone who already understands how to listen, present value, handle objections and confidently ask a customer to make a decision.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of successful sales experience
- Demonstrated experience closing customers rather than only generating leads
- Comfortable selling higher-value products or services
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Comfortable working independently

- Reliable vehicle
- Ability to travel to customer homes throughout the Ottawa service area
- Availability for appointments during afternoons, evenings and some weekends as customer demand requires
- Comfortable using tablets, CRM software and digital sales tools

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience selling products or services with an average transaction value of $5,000+ are particularly encouraged to apply.

Experience in in-home sales, home improvement or one-call-close environments is an asset.
