We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial / Automotive Painter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to a variety of industrial and automotive components, ensuring durability, aesthetics, and compliance with safety standards. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision
- Use power tools and welding equipment as needed for surface preparation or minor repairs before painting
- Follow safety protocols including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and goggles
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to uphold safety standards and ensure efficient workflow
- Conduct inspections of painted surfaces for defects or inconsistencies; perform touch-ups as necessary
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks when required to support production flow
- Using airless paint gun on most surfaces, but also cup gun for metallic paints on truck cabs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in industrial or automotive painting is highly preferred; familiarity with manufacturing environments is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge including understanding of hand tools, power tools,
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality control in finishing processes
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paints or calculating coverage areas
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction
- Familiarity with assembly processes and the use of hand tools in a production setting
