Position Summary

Avenge is looking for an experienced Tire Technician to join our maintenance team on a permanent, full time basis. Avenge operates a large fleet industrial vehicles throughout Alberta, and this role is focused on the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial tires both in the shop and out on client sites.

Experience working on heavy truck and trailer tires is required. This is a high volume, fast paced environment for someone who thrives working both independently and as part of a team.

No remote or hybrid arrangements are available. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or hold Permanent Resident status.

The Chance

Tire Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient installation, repair, and maintenance of tires across our fleet, including hydrovacs, vac trucks, water and potable units, tank trucks, and Super-B and tri-axle trailer configurations. Service truck and project work opportunities may be available in the future.

What You'll Do

- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all policies and processes and acting safely at all times
- Ensure all equipment is properly secured prior to work or repairs (for example, using chock blocks and jack stands)
- Mount, dismount, repair, and balance industrial tires on Class 1 and Class 3 trucks and trailers
- Inspect tires and wheel assemblies for wear, damage, and proper inflation, and identify required repairs




- Perform routine and specific tire maintenance and replacement tasks, including on dual and multi-axle configurations
- Torque and re-torque wheels to manufacturer specifications
- Respond to roadside and on-site tire service calls as needed
- Complete and submit all associated electronic documentation to track tire condition and maintenance schedules
- Keep the shop area clean, tidy, and free of hazards.

What You Bring

- Experience working with industrial and/or heavy truck tires (required)
- 3+ years of Commercial Heavy Tire Technician experience, or currently registered as an Apprentice Mechanic
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean 5 year commercial driver's abstract (required)
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license (asset)
- Experience with Hydrovac, Combo Vac, or tank truck tire configurations (asset)
- Ability to use app based electronic maintenance programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs heavy objects and work in crouched or standing positions for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
