As a key member of an agile team, you will be at the heart of shaping the experiences across a diverse range of digital products. You’ll collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders, navigating an iterative process to analyze, design, and articulate your design vision. Key Responsibilities
- Understand user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and improve task performance.
- Utilize visualizations and interactions to support analytic thinking, especially with large data sets.
- Facilitate design critiques, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert advice to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Lead ideation sessions and collaborative work activities to foster innovation.
- Act as the subject-matter expert for interaction design within the product design team.
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of interaction design theory, visual design theory, research data, and best practices to inform design decisions.
- Create complex low-fidelity sketches,
wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideas.
- Develop complex prototypes to provide detailed delivery specifications for development teams.
- Present interaction design work and rationale to senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate usability testing to gather critical user feedback.
- Participate in or initiate various research activities to deepen user understanding.
- Research interaction design strategies within the financial services sector and conduct competitive audits relevant to specific design or business goals.
- Perform pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits as needed.

- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A compelling portfolio that includes application design samples.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
- Experience in an applied research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy,
rationale, and logic, clearly describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
- Demonstrated expertise with leading design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.
Nice-to-have
- MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
- An appreciation for the potential of ‘design thinking’.
- Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment.
