As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of technology enabled business solutions for the J.D. Irving, Limited group of companies. Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of information technology projects into the J.D. Irving businesses through all stages of the project lifecycle from original concept to implementation
- Manage communications related to the project at all levels of the organization and across businesses; including executive levels
- Proactively engage in coaching and mentoring of project team members to help staff reach optimal level of performance and foster a working environment open to current ideas and innovative solutions
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure client success
- Responsible for the management of project scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, risk and quality management
- Monitoring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
- Communicating with customers to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any issues or concerns
- Communicating the value of IT initiatives and achievements to the organization’s leadership and stakeholders
- Providing guidance and support to customers in using the company product and services effectively
Qualifications
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, MBA preferred
- Years of Experience Required: 3-5+ years of project management with IT experience and demonstrated career progression
- Excellent leadership, people and process management skills with proven success in a fast paced environment
- Ability to organize, analyze, interpret and evaluate problems and provide solutions with the right sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels within the organization
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Lean Six Sigma experience would be considered an asset
- Prosci certification would be considered an asset
- Agile Project Management Certification would be considered an asset
