We are seeking a reliable and efficient Cleaner/Janitor to join our team. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across designated areas in multiple facilities within a two-kilometer radius. The role includes a variety of general cleaning duties and routine maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities are always in top condition.

Job Responsibilities

- Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas, including lobbies, hallways, offices, kitchens, washrooms and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean and sanitize restrooms; dust furniture and surfaces
- Clean windows mirrors, and glass partitions as needed
- Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and compost in accordance with facility procedures
- Refill restroom supplies, including toilet paper, hand-soap, and paper towels
- Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas and promptly address any spills or hazards to prevent accidents
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely, such as vacuums, mops, and floor buffers
- Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals, adhering to all regulatory guidelines
- Assist with special events set-up/clean-up,



or seasonal cleaning as needed

Requirements and Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is an asset
- Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items up to 50 lbs, and perform physical work for extended times
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and the ability to respond promptly to cleaning requests
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals; must adhere to safety procedures and wear protective equipment as needed
- Must have your own vehicle to travel between two facilities

Hours of Work Monday to Friday - flexible schedule with weekend availability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.95-$21.50 per hour
