Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in preparing accurate project estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and other relevant documents. Your enthusiasm for construction and strong analytical skills will contribute to winning bids and successful project execution.

Duties

- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to gather necessary information for estimating costs
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Utilize estimating software
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to understand project scope and potential challenges
- Conduct quantity takeoffs from drawings to determine material quantities
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents,



and related correspondence for future reference

Experience

- Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology gained through education or hands-on experience
- Familiarity with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent tools is preferred
- Experience with software is
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors and subcontractors
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior exposure to project management principles in a construction setting is advantageous
