Sandher Fruit Packers is a family-owned fresh fruit packing and marketing company specializing in the packing, marketing, and distribution of BC-grown apples and cherries. We work closely with growers, customers, carriers, and industry partners to move fresh fruit efficiently from the orchard to markets across Canada and internationally.

We are looking for a Junior Sales / Sales Assistant to join our Sales team. This is an opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in sales, account management, logistics, customer service, and the fresh produce industry.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales team to support existing customer accounts while developing a strong understanding of the business and the seasonal nature of fresh produce.

Position Summary The Junior Sales / Sales Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the Sales department, assisting with customer accounts, order entry, invoicing, logistics coordination, internal systems, and general sales activities.

This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn and grow. Over time, the successful candidate will develop an understanding of fresh produce sales, including apples and cherries, customer requirements, pricing, packaging, quality, availability, transportation, and the overall process of moving fresh produce from the orchard to the customer.

The position will work across various areas of the business and responsibilities will develop as the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Sales team with day-to-day customer account management and communication.
- Assist with customer orders, order entry, confirmations, updates, and related documentation.
- Enter and maintain accurate information within company systems and software.
- Assist with invoicing, pricing, reporting, and other sales administration.
- Work with the Sales team to monitor orders and ensure customer requirements are met.




- Coordinate with the Logistics team regarding shipments, deliveries, transportation, and changes to orders.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, internal departments, and other business partners as required.
- Assist with tracking shipments and resolving routine order or delivery issues.
- Develop an understanding of customer needs, sales processes, and account management.
- Learn about the fresh produce industry, including apple and cherry varieties, quality, sizing, packaging, pricing, availability, and seasonal supply.
- Assist with the sales and movement of fresh produce to customers in domestic and international markets.
- Support sales activities, customer communications, reports, spreadsheets, and market information.
- Maintain accurate and organized customer and sales records.
- Provide support to the Sales team during busy seasonal periods.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as required to support the Sales department and overall business.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience in sales, customer service, account management, or administration is an asset.
- Experience in the fresh produce, agriculture, food, or related industry is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing, agriculture, supply chain, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong interest in developing a career in sales and account management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, and business software.




- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and seasonal environment.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to getting things done.
- Interest in learning the fresh produce industry and the factors that influence supply, quality, pricing, logistics, and customer demand.
