Swamper / Driver (Full time)

Pay: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour to start, plus tips and performance bonuses, with raises as you move up

Love being active and hate sitting behind a desk? We're looking for a hardworking Swamper to ride with our crews, handle the heavy lifting on site, and work toward getting behind the wheel. What You'll Be Doing

- On the Truck: Riding with our drivers to jobs across the south island, loading everything from single-item pickups to full property cleanouts.
- The Heavy Lifting: Furniture, appliances, construction debris, yard waste — if it needs to go, you make it happen. Safely, and without marking up the customer's floors, walls, or landscaping.
- Customer Service: You're the face of the company on every job. Walking customers through what we're taking, keeping them in the loop, and leaving the site cleaner than we found it.
- Sorting As You Load: Separating metal, e-waste, and reusable items right on the truck so we keep as much out of the landfill as possible.
- End of Day: Getting the truck cleaned up, fueled up and ready for tomorrow.

The Path to the Driver's Seat We don't want you swamping forever. We invest in our people. Once you've mastered the basics on the truck, we'll train you to:
- Get Behind the Wheel: Move from the passenger seat to the driver's seat of our hauling trucks.




- Run Your Own Jobs: Take the lead on site — sizing up the job, quoting on the spot, managing the load, and eventually running your own swamper.
- Own the Details: Staying in touch with dispatch through the day, and squaring away your paperwork and receipts at the end of it. Our drivers run their own trucks — nobody's looking over your shoulder.

What You Bring
- Reliability: You show up on time, every time.
- Fitness: You enjoy a physically demanding job and stay active. Expect to be lifting and carrying all day, in all weather.
- Great Attitude: You're coachable and ready to learn new skills.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence: Class 5 minimum with a clean driving record. This one's non-negotiable — the whole job is built around moving you into the driver's seat.
