Job Overview

Charoen Krung Thai Noodle House is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher to join our growing kitchen team.

We are a Thai restaurant located in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood of Vancouver, specializing in authentic Thai noodles and traditional Thai dishes.

This position supports our chefs and kitchen team with food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, and general kitchen duties. We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, is dependable, and is willing to learn.

Previous kitchen experience is an asset but is not required. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and ingredient preparation.
- Prepare and organize ingredients and kitchen stations before and during service.
- Keep kitchen work areas, floors, sinks, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Restock ingredients, containers, and other kitchen supplies as needed.
- Assist the kitchen team during busy lunch and dinner service.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Handle garbage, recycling, and general kitchen cleanup.
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.




- Work cooperatively with chefs and other team members to keep kitchen operations running efficiently.

Requirements
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced kitchen environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding kitchen duties.
- Able to lift and carry kitchen supplies and equipment when required.
- Willing to learn food preparation and kitchen procedures.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
