Wage: $37.50 per hour, 40 hours per week

: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies, Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation

• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards

• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage

• Establish work schedules

• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures





• Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres

• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

• May perform same duties as workers supervised.

Supervision: Cooks, kitchen and food service helpers

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work Setting: Restaurant

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced workplace, Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Attention to detail
