Title: Lead, Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

Duration: full time

Location: 100% remote The client is seeking a Lead, Procure-to-Pay to lead and optimize the organization's Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Shared Services operations. Reporting to the Strategic Finance Director, this role will be responsible for building scalable and standardized Procure-to-Pay processes, leading operational teams through change, and supporting the company's ongoing Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation initiative.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who combines procurement expertise, operational excellence, process improvement, and people leadership. Success in this role requires the ability to create structure, improve controls, standardize workflows, and lead geographically dispersed teams through organizational change.

Responsibilities

- Lead the Procurement and Accounts Payable functions across the organization.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the Shared Services team.
- Own and continuously improve the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process.
- Develop, document, standardize, and maintain procurement and AP procedures, policies, and workflows.
- Build scalable and repeatable processes that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
- Partner with Finance to strengthen purchasing controls, invoice processing, approval workflows, and reporting.
- Identify process bottlenecks, drive automation opportunities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to procurement performance, compliance, invoice processing, cycle times, and spend management.
- Lead supplier governance, purchasing controls, and procurement best practices.
- Support ERP and business transformation initiatives, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation activities.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across systems, processes, and policies.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, service, collaboration,



and operational excellence.
- Drive change management initiatives and help teams successfully adopt new processes and technologies.

Must-Have Qualifications

- 10+ years of progressive experience in Procurement, Procure-to-Pay, Shared Services, Supply Chain, or related functions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing operational teams in a multi-site or distributed workplace.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes, including purchasing, supplier management, approval workflows, invoice processing, and controls.
- Experience partnering closely with Finance and Accounts Payable teams.
- Proven ability to lead process improvement, standardization, and operational transformation initiatives.
- Experience creating SOPs, policies, governance frameworks, and process documentation.
- Strong procurement background including sourcing, vendor management, contract administration, and spend management.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or business process transformations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through organizational change and process transformation.
- Experience working effectively with remote and geographically dispersed teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

- Direct responsibility for both Procurement and Accounts Payable functions.
- Experience leading Shared Services organizations.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
- Experience with Coupa, SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or other Procure-to-Pay platforms.
- Manufacturing, industrial, mining, construction materials, building products, or multi-site operational environment experience.
- Experience implementing procurement automation and workflow tools.
- SCMP, CSCP, MCIPS, CPSM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar professional certifications.
- Experience building procurement or shared services functions from the ground up.
- Strong change management and organizational development experience.
