Overview

Centennial Kitchen & Bath is seeking an experienced Lead Residential Renovation Carpenter to lead high-quality kitchen and bathroom renovations in Saskatoon and the surrounding area.

This is a hands-on position for an experienced renovation professional who can take ownership of a project from demolition through final completion. The successful candidate will organize daily site activities, coordinate materials and trades, complete skilled renovation work, lead a helper when assigned, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently and to Centennial’s quality standards.

Because much of our work takes place in occupied homes, professionalism, cleanliness, communication and respect for the customer’s property are essential.

Responsibilities

- Lead residential kitchen and bathroom renovation projects from demolition through final turnover.
- Plan and sequence daily work to keep projects organized and moving forward.
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, specifications and project documentation.
- Complete a variety of renovation work, including framing, drywall, mudding and taping, trim carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, tile and finishing work.
- Coordinate Centennial’s licensed plumbing and electrical trades, as well as other subcontractors involved in the project.
- Prepare material lists and identify upcoming material, equipment and trade requirements.
- Ensure materials, tools and equipment are available when needed.
- Provide direction, training and support to renovation helpers and junior team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe jobsite, particularly when working in occupied homes.
- Protect customers’ flooring, furniture and living spaces throughout construction.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, project coordinators, designers, suppliers and other trades.
- Identify unexpected site conditions,



quality concerns and scope changes, and communicate them promptly.
- Complete work according to project plans, building codes, safety requirements and Centennial’s quality standards.
- Conduct final quality checks and address deficiencies before project completion.
- Maintain accurate project notes, progress updates and documentation.

Qualifications

- Significant hands-on experience completing residential renovations, particularly kitchens and bathrooms.
- Strong carpentry and residential finishing skills.
- Experience with cabinetry, trim, drywall, flooring and other common renovation work.
- Tile-setting experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to independently plan, sequence and complete renovation projects.
- Experience leading helpers, apprentices, subcontractors or other tradespeople is preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential construction practices, building materials and project drawings.
- Ability to identify material requirements and anticipate upcoming project needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Qualified communication skills and the ability to work respectfully in customers’ homes.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of residential renovation work.
- Carpentry certification is considered an asset but is not required where equivalent experience can be demonstrated.

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, notices details before the customer does, communicates clearly and accepts ownership of the finished project. The right person will be comfortable working independently while also coordinating with designers, project leaders, licensed trades and renovation helpers.

Pay: $26.00-$39.00 per hour
