Goria Logistics Inc. is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team.
This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically looking for someone with at least 3 years of hands-on experience working for a freight brokerage or 3PL who understands the carrier side of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Source and negotiate with carriers for FTL and LTL shipments
- Find qualified carriers using load boards and existing carrier networks
- Negotiate competitive carrier rates while protecting shipment margins
- Verify carrier authority, insurance, safety records and operating status
- Complete carrier onboarding and ensure required documentation is received
- Identify potential double-brokering, fraudulent carriers and other carrier risks
- Prepare and send rate confirmations / load contracts
- Dispatch loads and provide carriers with complete pickup and delivery instructions
- Confirm pickup appointments and ensure loads are picked up as scheduled
- Track shipments and proactively follow up with carriers throughout transit
- Communicate delays, missed appointments and other issues immediately
- Confirm delivery and collect PODs (Proof of Delivery)
- Follow up on missing paperwork and documentation
- Maintain accurate shipment notes and carrier records
- Work closely with our sales and customer-service team to ensure shipments move smoothly from pickup through final delivery
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of direct experience in freight brokerage / 3PL operations is required. The successful candidate should already have experience with:
- FTL and LTL freight
- Carrier sourcing and negotiation
- Load boards
- Carrier authority and insurance verification
- Carrier onboarding
- Rate confirmations
- Dispatching and shipment tracking
- Cross-border Canada/U.S. freight
- POD collection and shipment documentation
- Identifying suspicious carriers and double-brokering risks
- Handling time-sensitive freight and resolving problems quickly
What We're Looking For
We want someone who is organized, dependable and proactive and understands that successful freight operations require constant communication and follow-up. You should be comfortable managing multiple active shipments at the same time and taking ownership of a load from the time it is tendered until the POD is received.
